I hate Kanji!!! AND Honda Sensei!!!
ARGH!!!!!!!! Ok I am taking the second year of Japanese language, and I have techincally 4 teachers. One is the normal proffessor who I see 2 days of the week, one is his TA who I see 2 days of the week, and the last day of the week I have a lab with 2 lab monitors who try to help us but also teach us at the same time. Last time we were going to have a quiz on kanji (chinese charecters) the TA said she was going to test us on stroke order. We ended up arguing that one because there were multiple stroke orders; she had her own, the TA (who are Japanese) had their own, and there was someone with an up-to-date Kanji dictionary which was totally different than everyone else. So she decided to NOT do stroke order on the test (Which was Friday 17). We had another test from the language proffessor on the following class day (Monday the 20). Now the language proffessor was trying to tell us today that we have ANOTHER test, this time on a whole new set of Kanji's that we barely know. Best part of all, he said the test is TOMMORROW. And ofcourse we will have another test on Monday. We begged and pleaded with him to make it Friday, but he says the TA Jessica Sensei was going to give us a test tommorrow. Now I find that hard to believe because she hasnt said a word to us about this!!! So I am stuck here half believing I have a test tommorrow and half believing that I dont, in the meantime my poor hand is sore from practicing kanji stroke order... and I didnt even scratch the surface of the kanji's I should be studying. :P ARGHHH!!!
Hmm I met a few Japanese people today, they were interesting. I wonder if any of them will email me since they asked for my email. I was kinna suprised that one of them gave me her meeshi (Name card - like a business card with all your contact info). We had known each other for less than 20 minutes! Oh how I wish I could just learn the grammar and never have to write the charecters... I could just go to Japan and ask someone to read the Kanji for me! From what I can tell not all Japanese Nationals (citizens is the incorrect term here) know enough kanji themselves. I think there are some basic, everyday kanji that everyone uses and those are the ones I should know. -.- None of this stupid business terms... I should just go teach myself Japanese and forget about the formal education!!! GYAH!
OK, baibai cuz arm hurts.
