A PGSM Live Action Rant

Ok so today I watched the very LAST episode of the most recent Sailor Moon incarnate, the Live Action version. Oh I cried! I think I cried more in the episode where Minako... *beepbeep* (episode 47). I liked what they did and yet I hated it. Sailor Moon was actually quite the opposite of what she was in the anime and I swear in the manga she wasn't such a b**ch. I was so sad at the end... and then when everyone stopped what they were doing and said...

"(Venus) 私。。。(Jupiter) 何かわすれてる。。。(Mars) そうよ---だいせつの事。。。(Mercury) わすれられるなぜない事。。。(Minna) うさぎ!" ***translation*** "I... I forgot something... That's right, a precious thing... how can I forget about that?... USAGI!"

If you can't read Japanese then I suggest you go learn it. I think it is a fascinating langauge! :P

They left a little hint at the end that the series might not exactly be 'over'. I was under the impression that the girls were going off to do their own things now. There might be a whole new cast if they do it again... just like the musicals. I suppose that would be interesting. But then we won't have Kitagawa Keiko! She became the most kick-arse of the actresses! Oh and there were so many little things that they left loose... I think they could have managed to squeeze in enough material to make it to 52 episodes, so it would end on a normal Japanese anime note. (There are three types of anime - those that end on 12or13 eps, those that end on 52, and those that go on forever you never know when they will end *cough*TakahashiRumiko*cough*)

SO to put an end to my rant... More SailorMoon! More SailorMoon! May it NEEEVER end! *hehe* Don't ask... ^_^ I'll probably show up at my HS 25yr reunion dressed up as a Senshi! This Otaku is going to take a LOOOONG time to die... (Just think, I started liking Sailor Moon almost 8 years ago... *sigh* oh the happy times...) And yet ppl ask me why I started to learn Japanese. :P The answer is - I wanted to watch Sailor Moon in its UNDUBBED, UNCUT, ORIGINAL form, and be able to understand it fully! -- Don't doubt me. I STILL own the whole series UNdubbed, UNcut, in ORiginal form -- except it is VHS cuz thats when DVDs were expensive and brand new things. Gawsh I feel old... first records went out of style (my poor fraggle rock record...), then tapes went out of style... cds are being phased out by dvds and mini discs... at least I wasn't a Beta freak! Anywyas... Go Ninja, go ninja, go!

Ohyah tonite I watched Skycaptain and the World of Tommorrow. I thought it was a cool movie. Especially since I had heard that it was started as some guy's hobby (he had a storyline and made all the CG animations on his MAC!!! Took several years I think. And he was oneday finally discovered and now we have a blockbuster film with Apple's Mommy {Gwenny}, Lara Croft, and the guy who killed himself in Gattica {Jude Law is an accent totin' hottie IMHO}). Uhm ate at McDonalds cuz I was forced to at davypoint (versus gunpoint) and now I'm in my room being soaked in with Sailor Moon goodieness. And the occasional glance from the EVIL KITTY (Its a Live Action Sailor Moon joke about Hello Kitty - so too bad if you don't get it). Which reminds me, there's a Sailor Moon backpack I wanna buy... :P

Well I guess I am thinking about going to bed. In the future I am gonna have live action Sailor Moon marathons and I think I am going to go dream about the happiness that's going to bring me... =^_^=
