Layout Issues

As I was at work today I started to browse through the blogs on blogger.com and felt like I am so unoriginal. I have a pre-determined layout at the moment. I don't quite like it to say the least (its not purple enough), and I have been meaning to do something about it for some time. Unfortunately I don't think that now is that time. I have 2 papers due on the 5th, 2 quizzes tommorrow, and the reading assignments stacking up. Not to mention the anime I need to watch, the exercise I need to be doing, the cooking, the something, something fun... Besides I really want to go for originality. Sometimes to me that entails drawing something from scratch. ^_^ I really want to employ my graphic skills to spruce it up reaaaal nice... and I don't know where to start. Like for one, which anime(s) do I use in my layouts? Its all about who I wanna REPRESENT.
